Today, Onward To Our Past® is pleased to announce our newest pdf version of one of our exclusive translations is now available on our site!
If you follow our Czech genealogy translations here at Onward To Our Past® you know we are translating dozens of articles from the Czech genealogy treasure-trove of Amerikán Národní Kalendář. As you know Amerikán Národní Kalendář was published as an annual journal for 79 consecutive years from 1878 to 1957. These rare Czech-American journals contain many of the finest first-person accounts written anywhere for those of us interested in our Czech ancestry, genealogy, and history.
Over the past few weeks we brought you the only English translation of the 1898 article “Paměti českých osadníků v Americe”, which is translated as “Memoirs of Czech Settlers in America”. The only known edition of the 1898 Amerikán Národní Kalendář is held in the Herman B. Wells Library of the University of Indiana, located in Bloomington, Indiana. Luckily we were able to secure a series of digital images from this edition thanks to a very helpful Library staff!
It took us 20 installments to publish this wonderful article to our website and now we have combined all those posts into a single pdf version for your reading and studying pleasure.
Enjoy this amazing Czech genealogy resource! As always all of our work on our site is available to you from FREE!
