Today’s Tip: Don’t procrastinate. Life is too precious to waste a moment.
I got some very sad news yesterday. My good friend and fellow genealogist, Peter Knegtel, informed us that he was having brain cancer surgery today. Needless to say it was a huge shock to Peter, his family, friends and colleagues. Sudden, unexpected and life-alterting. Today, my prayers and thoughts are with Peter and his family in the Netherlands.
It was also ten years and three months ago that my wife was diagnosed with brain cancer. Again, sudden, unexpected, and life-altering.
When something of this magnitude occurrs, the clock and life seem to stand still for a while. Then it seems to spend the rest of the time screaming along at triple the normal rate, or even faster. Your entire life changes and no one gives a tinker’s dam about what it does to your life, your plans, your aspirations, etc.
So today, my tip is to pick up something that you love and have been meaning to do, and do it!
Do it for a lot of reasons, but do it today because there are folks out there like Peter and my wife, who would if they could, but who now simply can’t.
May God bless each and every one of you today!
