Good morning all!
This morning, I would like to give a shout out to my nephew who is currently out on the oceans of the world, in the U.S. Navy. Aboard a guided-missile frigate, he is in service to our country and I want to thank him here for that!
He has a wife at home and family across the county. They all miss him more than I do, but join me in thanking him and his shipmates for answering the call of duty.
It is especially poignant to think of him, far from home, protecting America, at this time of Memorial Day.
Thank you, Nick. You make us all proud!
You answered the call as did so many of our ancestors, both here and abroad.
Here is a photo of my cousin, who just celebrated his 90th birthday yesterday with his brother!
Here is my great Uncle William Morrish Phillips, who lost his live in Flanders Fields.
Here is my own father while in Europe during World War II
Let us thank each and everyone of these brave men and women who served and helped us live the lives we have today!
Keep these and your memories alive this Memorial day!
Onward To Our Past!
