A Few Out of the Ordinary Suggestions for Your Czech Genealogy Bookshelf
If your love of all things Czech is anywhere near as deep as mine, or perhaps even deeper if that is possible, I imagine you enjoy reading about our ancestry, culture, homeland, and more as often as you can. I certainly do.
It was not long after I finished my review of Mila Rechcigl’s newest book for this issue of Czech Slavnosti I was asking myself the following question: “What are some of my more out-of-the-ordinary reference books I really enjoy when I am working on Czech genealogy?”
As I gazed at my packed bookshelves I realized it might be worthwhile to share with the readers of this great newspaper some of the books I love the most for Czech genealogy, ancestry, and history that are not simply the ‘usual suspects’. You may know and use them all already, but just in case here they are (in no particular order).
I could go on, but will stop now and wait for an upcoming post to add a few more of my more lesser known sources of wonderful Czech information, history, and genealogy leads!
